A radiologist
is a medical doctor who is specially trained to
interpret imaging exams and procedures to diagnose
disease. All of our radiologists are certified
by the American Board of Radiology and hold certificates
in subspecialties.
Although patients rarely see their radiologists,
it is important for them to understand the vital
role these doctors play in their overall care.
They supply referring doctors with the information
that they need to provide appropriate treatment
or care. They also monitor the progress of each
exam to assure that the most accurate results
are obtained for every patient.
A radiation oncologist is a physician who has
specialized in the field of oncology, or the branch
of medicine that deals with tumors, including
the study of their development, diagnosis, treatment,
and prevention. All of our Board Certified
Radiation Oncologists have gone through specialized
education and training on the appropriate and
safe use of radiation therapy. Radiation Oncology
is one of the main oncology specialties involved
in the successful treatment of cancer. Please
visit Princeton Radiation
Oncology for more information
about Princeton Radiology’s Radiation Oncology
Services.
All of our physicians are leaders in their field, committed to providing
quality patient care for over 50 years.
