Diana C. Stripp, M.D.

Diana C. Stripp received her M.D. degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School before completing her residency in radiation oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. She then joined the teaching faculty at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where she authored several articles for medical journals. She was awarded the Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award by the American Medical Women’s Association. She received the Giulio J. D’Angio, MD Teaching Award from the University of Pennsylvania for two successive years, 2004 and 2005. Also in 2005, she received the Radiation Oncology Teaching Award from the National Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology.

As a faculty member, she participated in the Institutional Review Boards of the University of Pennsylvania. Nationally, Dr. Stripp is a member of the American Board of Radiology Written Examination Task Force and has been invited as an expert auditor for the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program of the Clinical Trials Monitoring Branch, National Cancer Institute.

In addition to her broad range of expertise in the treatment of adult cancers, Dr. Stripp is known for her particular interest in the treatment of head and neck cancers and for her skill in the use of interstitial brachytherapy for prostate and soft tissue cancers. She is certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association, and the American Association for Women Radiologists.
